How to create an Octosite?

Here, we describe the most preferable way to create an Octosite - ensuring that edit-mode enabled after generation, and equal edit rights provided to all project members.

Note: If you prefer to keep edit rights to yourself only, skip step 1.

Instructions

Step 1: Open your Octopus project

In your visual sitemap project, click Publish button, and select Website option to open Octosite generation page.

Step 2: Click Generate

In the opened octosite.do window check that project URL address is present, and click Generate.

Step 3: Edit the website

Click the blue pencil icon in the bottom-right corner to enter edit mode. There, you can edit text and upload images, as well as change subdomain and theme.

If you can't see the blue pencil icon, you're in a read-only mode. Click on a small lock icon in the footer to request a one-time-password. After confirming it to the octosite, it will enable the edit-mode for you.
