Sitemap AI assistant - Beta version

What is Sitemap AI assistant?

In short, it’s a helper that can make changes to the sitemap based on the user’s instructions. In broader terms, it’s an integration with an LLM (large language model) that processes a user’s text requests into actions executable by Octopus, designed to assist the user in their creative process of building sitemaps.

Why Beta?

This means it’s an early version of the feature, with some parts possibly incomplete and minor issues expected as we continue developing the AI assistant.

During the beta phase, we will be collecting feedback and certain activity logs (e.g., how many times the assistant returned a clarification question versus how many times it performed an action).

How does it work?

We’ve integrated the OpenAI API to process requests and provide outputs that can be used in Octopus.

A user’s text prompt is combined with previous requests (if any) and detailed system instructions, then sent to the LLM for processing. The model then provides a response — part of it is displayed to the user, and another part is used to perform the requested actions in the sitemap.

List of actions that AI assistant can perform

Essentially, it can do almost anything with pages, blocks, and sections: add, move, remove, or change a title, color, or frame.

For example:

  • You can ask it to find all pages starting with “Legacy” and remove them.
  • You can ask it to analyze the structure and change the color of pages relevant to investors.
  • You can ask it to add a new page structure for Account Settings.

Temporary limits

In the beta version, all limits are included in the current plans:

  • Trial project: 5 requests per day
  • Free plan: 10 requests per day
  • Pro plan: 20 requests per day
  • Agency and Team plans: 30 requests per member per day
