Export to Figma

Octopus plugin assist users  in migrating the visual structure from Octopus to Figma, and avoid unnecessary friction in the work pipeline. The plugin has two import options: as wireframes, and as visual sitemap. Wireframes allow creating a high-fidelity prototype of all pages, and visual sitemap perfectly mirrors the Octopus project.

Features

The default option creates frames in Figma based on the pages in Octopus project - each page will become two frames: desktop and mobile. Based on what wireframes are used in the project, the plugin will generate a prototype for each page using respective components.

For this import option users are required to copy the latest version of the Octopus Wireframes Kit - a library of components used by plugin.

The second option is visual sitemap - it will recreate the visual structure of the project in vector graphics, ideal for marketing materials or visuals.

How to use

  1. Get Octopus Wireframes Kit
  2. Run Octopus plugin in the copied kit project.
  3. Paste your Octopus project URL address in the plugin, click Continue.
  4. Choose pages for import.
  5. Sit back and relax while the app creates pages and builds blocks with content for you. The app will notify you when the process is completed.
